The Renal Psychological Therapist group (RPT) quarterly meeting took place in January at St Bart's Hospital in London. The group meet quarterly to discuss education, updated, case discussions as well as to share new developments and information. The main objective of the group is to improve psychological care for patients living with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), and their families and carers. The RPT meetings also serve as a great way of keeping contact for counsellors who are often working alone in renal care.
RPT contributes towards raising standards in strategic policy making and is attended by Counsellors, Psychotherapists and Counselling Psychologists working in the renal field.
