Today at Edgbaston cricket ground saw the launch of the first major Home therapies project aimed at providing more choice for patients and seeking to improve the number of patients benefiting from dialysis at home and the associated freedom to better fit dialysis around their lives and not vice versa.
A KQUIP project partnership with Kidney Care UK, this launch sees the whole of the east and west midlands coming together as part of a joined up approach to drive improvement for patients. Around 100 staff from across the Midlands came together to plan the project. By working together units will learn from each other in a mutually supportive way.
Kidney care delighted to support this major initiative to help more patients live their lives to the full. We hope this is the start of a drive which in time will expand right across the kidney community.
