Will Malpas
31 year old Will has had kidney disease since he was a baby. He has had three transplants and is now back on dialysis four days a week in his local satellite unit. We've supported Will with a number of grants over the years for various different things including new cooker, fridge, and fishing equipment for a fishing holiday. Travelling down from Sunderland I fished in ponds in Oxfordshire, camping nearby overnight and taking dialysis sessions in Oxford.
It was a great week, and I couldn't have afforded it without Kidney Care UK - I just want to thank them for how they've helped me

Ceri Evans
Ceri had an accident when he was 15 and is in a wheelchair and on peritoneal dialysis with his family providing 24 hour care. Ceri received a grant for £600 for the bond on a house.
“Thanks to the BKPA paying the first month’s rent, my 34 year old disabled son could finally move into an apartment of his own. As a family, we still provide his care but he finally has some independence and even has space to store his dialysis equipment.”

Janet Marsh
Kidney patient Janet had been unwell and as a result her 72 year old husband had been doing all the housework. When the washing machine broke down he found it very hard to cope with washing everything by hand. So Kidney Care UK funded a new washing machine
“Believe it or not, the new washing machine arrived at the same time as an ambulance taking me back to hospital yet again, but my husband sorted things out. We’ve just celebrated our Golden Wedding and I’m getting a bit stronger now.”
