King’s College London have teamed up with Kidney Care UK to test an online program designed to treat low mood and/or anxiety in the context of long-term physical health conditions.
The study is a pilot study and will run for 9 months. If you chose to take part, you will be asked to complete a consent form and questionnaire. You will then be randomly put in a group where you will either gain access to the COMPASS program or Kidney Care UK Counselling service. If you are in the COMPASS group, you will be offered 6 online sessions over a period of 10 weeks with a Psychologist to guide you. If you are in a Kidney Care UK counselling group, you will be offered 6 sessions of telephone counselling with a qualified Renal counsellor.
