Our supporters send us a huge 250 kg of stamps and more than 40 difference currencies that generates around £9,000 a year to support kidney patients. Any donation you make will help grow this further.

We welcome all foreign banknotes and coins, no matter how old or what currency they are. We also welcome the old British decimal coins (the heavy ones). For stamps, it’s the post 2008 stamps that generate the most income. It is only the pre-printed and prepaid stamps that we ask you not to collect.
If you have stamps or currency you would like to donate, or would like to find out more about joining our army of stamp and currency donors, simply request a collectors pack (below) and we will send you everything you need.
How your stamp and currency donations help
Your used stamps are in demand; not just from collectors but also from artists and manufacturers who use your stamps for their products. So much so that each 1kg of stamps you donate generates around £20 of income to support kidney patients.
The value of your foreign currency may not be a surprise, but it is estimated that collectively there is nearly £2 billion simply sitting in draws or boxes in UK homes with an estimated £1.2 billion of now unusable old currency also hidden away.
Our partner - Xchange Master
As well as making it fun and easy to support us, we want to ensure your donations are used to support kidney patients - and not fundraising administration. Our relationship with Xchange Master ensures this happens. They are a leading stamp and currency service provider. They sort all the items you send to ensure we receive the maximum possible price whilst also covering all the costs of the materials and postage, saving both you and us the time and money.
This collector’s pack includes:-
- Our step by step guide to collecting stamps
- Our step by step guide to donating old and foreign currencies
- A prepaid returns envelope (keeping it free for you to send us your donation)
- You can also request a collection box*
*These boxes are great for taking your collection to the next level. Perhaps you can ask your work or colleagues or a local business or school to join your collection. Get the friends, family and neighbours involved too and you’ll soon have boxes full ready to donate.
