After the success of our everyday low salt collection, we’ve put together a collection of recipes that are perfect for springtime.
We know how important it is for our recipes to fit in with the dietary advice you have been given by your own dietitian. So, every one of our Kidney Kitchen recipes is very carefully analysed by the British Dietetic Association Renal Nutrition Specialist Group (RNG). We have recipes to suit all diets and occasions that have been modified to fit more closely with the various needs of people living with kidney disease and comes with a comprehensive set of ‘Food Facts’ to help you manage your diet. For those living with diabetes and who have been trained in insulin adjustment, the carbohydrate value is also provided for every recipe.
Many of recipes include the option to adapt one or two ingredients to make the dish vegetarian, vegan, or gluten free. They also include tips and advice on making the recipes even healthier, reducing the cost with cheaper options and how to safely store and use up any leftovers.
We will show you, in a series of easy-to-follow steps, how to prepare and cook delicious meals at home, even if you are new to cooking! Choose from pork medallions with apple and mustard, margherita pizza with side salad or lamb meatballs with Greek salad and minted yogurt. Try some deserts like reduced sugar carrot cupcakes, pear and blackberry crumble or cornflake and ginger cookies. View the Spring collection here.
