Every day, people living with kidney disease show extraordinary strength. They face their condition with courage and resilience but even the strongest among us sometimes need a helping hand.
Your support helps people keep warm, eat well, or stay independent with the use of a mobility scooter. It helps relieve the pressure when life feels overwhelming.
And most importantly, it reminds people that they’re not alone.
"I cried happy tears, you are amazing!”
For Lee*, we helped contribute toward essential utilities.
I am no longer able to work due to my kidney disease and we were really struggling. The grant helped pay half our gas and electric bill. It took a huge pressure off and meant we could put the heating on in winter. I’m cold nearly all of the time. I cried happy tears when the money came through. You are amazing!
Your kindness didn’t just help them stay warm; it gave them peace of mind and the strength to keep going.
You can bring someone hope and support this winter and in the future with a monthly gift:
- £4 a month could help someone put hot, nourishing and tasty food on the table.
- £10 a month could help keep a kidney patient’s home warm through the cold.
- £18 a month could provide independence with a mobility aid.
Your donation means we can give immediate grants to help kidney patients pay for food, utilities and mobility aids.
For everyone living with kidney disease
Kidney disease affects people from all walks of life. Everyone’s journey is different, but everyone deserves the right support now and to look to the future with hope.
“I can't tell you how much this is going to help with my life.”
For Barbara*, we contributed toward the cost of a mobility scooter:
Over the years I have had two kidney transplants, dialysis and cancer twice. I am currently on haemodialysis and have become more fatigued, walking any distance is getting harder and harder. A few weeks after speaking to Kidney Care UK I received a call that I had a scooter waiting for me. I can’t tell you how much this is going to help with my life. It means I can go out with family and friends and keep up with everyone.
With your help, Kidney Care UK can provide vital lifelines to people right now that cover the basics: keeping homes warm, fridges stocked, and maintaining independence.
Will you bring someone hope and support this winter and in the future?
